Well, I officially have a 1st grader and a 2nd grader! Grace graduated this past Tuesday! And, yes, she still had to go to school the last couple of days. She was so prepared. She went around singing the songs all the time. I have to say, she knew them!! However, when it was time to stand up there on the risers, she had this really sad look. I thought something had happened. But, no, she was just sad that school is over. More so, she is sad that we are moving away. She really had a great year!!! Her reading is great! Her math is improving!! Her handwriting is more legible!! And, even her coloring is so much better!!
She had her ups, earning awards and blue tickets. And, her downs, going to the principal's office twice in 5 days. The tried to tell us she needed to be in a social group (yeah, that was a disaster). She hung in there every step of the way.
Congrats, Grace!! You are now a 1st grader! (which means no more nap time)
