Soccer

I LOVE this picture!! He is pulling up his pants and putting his hands in his pockets. I guess I need to choose pants without pockets. He is too skinny to find ones that stay up!

OK, I would say they were all running so fast their hair was flying in the wind. But, they are pretty straight-legged. So, yes, the wind was blowing that day!!

Well, we are back in full swing of soccer. Drew and Grace are playing in different age brackets. Mike coaches Drew's team. It is fun as they have more girls than boys. And, Drew and 3 girls are the best on the team. It is great to watch!! The first game was truly getting their feet under them. The second game (what I got to watch as I had to Grace to her game) was great!! Drew had a great game. He scored the only goal of the game.

Now, Grace....well she has totally shocked me. Her first game on Saturday, I had to leave early for a birthday party. I called Mike for something and he begins yelling. I guess Grace took the ball and dribbled it up the field to the goal. She didn't score. And, not much after that, Mike is yelling again. Same thing. Well, I didn't think it was fair!! Fast forward to tonight. Grace had a make-up game and Mike had class (he is getting his master's). I have my eye on 3 kids on the baseball diamond and one playing soccer. I am watching Grace and the next thing I know, she scores!! It was great!! (Needless to say, I called Mike and left a message saying that I got to see the first goal. I know, not nice!) Then, they are playing again and she scores again. I was excited!! She was a little in shock!! Well, she almost scored two others, and her team won handedly!! We are having fun!
