Drew (and Mike, the coach) had their first basketball game this past Saturday!! It was too funny. They had a double header. The first game....yeah, totally mismatched!! We have 3 that have played organized bball before. Their whole team had played together. We learned a lot!! And, the kids didn't know any difference. Praise God!! The second game was so much better. We had learned a lot the first game. Drew did great!! He had the first goal in each game for our team. He had a second goal in the second game! Again, the whole thing is extremely funny. I understand why we didn't play at this age. I am also glad that Mike is coaching. We are playing in a different league (the Y instead of the community). It is more competative, if that is what you want to say. We are allowed 3 hours together a week. Some coaches practice 5 times a week. Where, we don't know.....but they are only 6, 7 and 8 year olds. It is not the NBA!! Drew is doing great and we love watching and cheering!!
