Trail West #2

OK, so I am exhausted and this will be short. Another amazing day!!! God is so good!! First, did I mention that the food here is beyond explanation!!!?? Well, it is!! We had free time this morning. So, we took the kids fishing. Yeah, it lasted about 30 minutes. The fish were huge and right there. Yet, the wouldn't touch the bait. Right there!! It was so frustrating, and boring if you were under 7.

Can you see the fish!!!?? They are nice size, but extremely picky!!

So, we went off and played tennis, little kid style. Which, by the way, is my style. Then, a little basketball, then lunch. Oh, and today was a big day, we (Mike, Drew and I) went whitewater rafting. It was so much fun!! Drew had a blast!! He kept asking Pat, our guide, if there were any more rapids coming. There were several, but the river is slow and low this time of year. But, we had fun!! There were several Class III rapids. They were perfect for Drew's first whitewater experience. (He has been rafting before, but not quite so wet!!) We came to a nice calm spot they called the "swimming hole". Yeah, the water is 55 degrees. It was great!! Drew wanted to go in, but he was a little hesitant. He says, " I want a closer look." Well, I gave him one. I picked him up and launched him. Luckily Mike was in the water. They both were very cold!! And we only went a few more minutes until we were done. Did I mention how AWESOME this place is?!! They, Trail West, had towels and hot chocolate waiting at the end!! I am telling you, this place has to be as close to heaven as you can get on earth!! We feel so honored!!

Drew and Mike trying to get back into the boat after "swimming"!!

Caleb yesterday doing his "cheese" while at the horseless rodeo!!
Sarah enjoying the horseless rodeo!! This is Jill, Caleb calls her " Mamaw"!!!

We came back to pick up Grace, Caleb and Sarah, who spent the day having fun, swimming and playing games!! They were almost as exhausted as I am!! Thank goodness that it is bed time.............
