Flag Football

So, I have been negligent on updating the blog. I am adjusting to being back in school as well as the kids are.
Drew began flag football 10 days ago. Mike missed the first game because he was on TDY. It has been fun to watch Drew learn. In just three games and 2 practices, he has come a long way. In fact, on Tuesday, he scored his first touchdown!!! (It was called back because another kid moved his arms while blocking, but we didn't tell Drew that.) He almost scored again. I must say that the one he did score he ran a long ways. Don't ask me yards. This whole flag football is so different. We had a college game on tonight (I know, imagine Mike actually missing the first college games) and Drew said he wanted to play in pads. I told him he had to be 10, I think. His comment back is, "Well, everyone thinks I am 10!" And, they do. I told him he had to actually be 10. Funny how his mind works!

You have to enlarge this and look at Drew's face. He is getting ready to take the QB's flag, and the QB is getting ready to throw. I think Drew is flinching to avoid an arm.

Drew trying to find someone to block!

We have a good time watching. Caleb would much rather be out there with them, so we are always trying to entertain him. He is getting better!! Grace is good for a couple of minutes. She usually wanders trying to find someone to play with. Sarah just deals with it. As usual, she just goes with the flow!!

Grace actually watching!?!

Caleb rolling around on the field!
