Do things ever happen to you and you know it could only be God!!! Nothing else is that BIG!!! Well, yesterday it happened. We are in Nevada at my mom and dad's. Our neighbors (Lucas and his family) moved to the Sacramento area the first of March. We are only two hours from there, so the kids and I headed down the mountain to see them. We had a blast. I will post pictures from it later!!
We had gone to the California train museum and had fun!! After that Sherry suggested a glow in the dark putt-putt golf place. It was in a strip mall with an Old Spaghetti Factory and a toy store. After we golfed, which was an experience, we were just hanging out in the foyer area taking pictures before we headed back up into the mountains.
Back up a few hours earlier, Sherry asked me how 3BCT (Mike's old unit) was doing in Iraq. I told her about my friend, Carlene (I posted in March asking for prayers for her and her family) who's husband was killed over there.
Forward to the strip mall. We were walking out and I look up at the door and I see a lady who looks just like Carlene and she has a son that looks just like her Caleb. I am standing there going, "is that? could that be? oh my.....". Sherry is trying to figure out what was going on (like is my car gone...). The lady walks in and I say, "Carlene?!!" And, it was her!!!! I am telling you, only God can orchestrate something like that!! We hugged and were in shock. You see, Carlene moved to California at the end of May. I thought she moved to the San Diego area (one of the S cities out here). She actually only lives a few minutes from Sherry. I introduced them and they switched phone numbers. I pray they connect!!!
I didn't want to leave, but needed to head back before it got dark on me!! I left them both thanking God for a day that only He can make happen!!! I have never been so awe struck by His timing!!! I pray they each have a new friend!! And now, I have 2 reasons to head down the mountains to California when I come out here!!!
Praise God!!!!
