VBS

Ok, so I will get back to the trip blog later. I just had to share this. You know how you often wonder if what you kids hear when you send them to church, school, camp, etc actually sets in. Well, at VBS there are daily challenges which the kids have to pick from. One of today's choices was to talk to your parents about 3 things you will see in heaven (it was suppose to be look forward to) in heaven. So, I pose the question. This is where I love watching my kids just get it about God!!!!

Grace's answer:

1. Jesus!!!! (See she gets it!)

2. Bryan (He will never be forgotten in this house!! We sure do miss you little man!!)

3. Mac (My parent's dog.)

You see, she gets it when things pass I am so excited to see her learn and know that she is comprehending what we teach her.

Drew's answer:

1. dirt (remember I said 3 things you will see in heaven)

2. trees

3. Oh, Jesus!!

Here is a picture of Drew and Grace actually up front singing during the main session!! I was so impressed to see Drew. Grace, it doesn't surprise me.

This is Drew's craft from today (actually his got broke and we found this one), a brainy bopper!! All the kids loved this one!!

During games, we got to do an experiment. For those science buffs and those who watch Myth Busters, you know what I am talking about. You take one 2 liter of Diet Coke (yes, it must be diet coke) and one roll of mentos (must be mint). When you drop the mentos in, it shoots up!! The kids had a blast!!! Drew, being the science man, was amazed. He can't wait to do it here. If I ever have a left over bottle of diet coke from a party, I now know what to do with it!!!
