Drew's class went to the zoo last Wednesday. I just haven't had time to update the blog. Mike left the next day for Oklahoma for two days. He came home and the weekend blew by. Then, he left for Hawaii (yes, I know, not fair!!) until this morning. I had a very sick baby (double ear infections with a 104 fever). So, I am now taking the time to add the only pictures that I have taken in 11 days!!
Sarah and I joined Drew's class at the zoo. It had to be cold and cloudy (at least the wind wasn't blowing)!! Could be the reason Sarah had ear infections. Granted, she was the most bundled up and stayed the warmest. The group I had consisted of Drew, Michael (the blonde) and James. They tried to wear me out. I was exhausted when we got done!!
We saw all there was to see at lightning fast speed. Boys don't want you to read about each animal. Let's look and move on. I actually didn't mind too much. They wanted to play at the playground for a lot of the time. So, we did. I watched and talked to others that came through. Sarah just slept!! It could have been much worse. We had a picnic at the playground too!! It was not much different than when I take my kids to the zoo. Only, I wouldn't have gone in the cold weather with just my kids.
Here is a picture of Ms. Dilley with the kids. I just love her!! She is a wonderful teacher. Drew has come out of his shell since being in her class. It has been fun working with her and watching her take such interest in all her kids. She can't wait to get Grace next year!! That will be interesting!!
