A moment

Have you ever had a moment when you have seen your child's life pass before your eyes? Well, I had one of those this evening. It was a moment when it is over I praise God that He was and is watching over my children. Drew and I were sitting in the floor in his room. He was sounding out a story to me. I look over and Caleb is opening and shutting the drawers in the chest. We kept sounding out words. I look over again and Caleb is opening the last drawer. Yes, all five are going to be open. There was nothing I could do, but scream for Mike. I jump up as fast as I can and roll the chest off of him. Still screaming for Mike. Needless to say, I scared the kids with my panic screams. But, I needed Mike to hurry. Caleb is fine!! He had a bump on the side of his eye and scratches. Mike and I checked him out thoroughly. When I went to take off his diaper to check him out, he had pooped. I think it scared the poop out of him. I hadn't smelled it before the fall!! So, as you kiss your kids good night, thank God for keeping them safe every moment of the day!!! I did and will always.
